Peldu Street has long been famous for its vibrant nightlife. Now jazz has moved here too! In 2016 three overseas Latvians from Australia and Canada opened this restaurant where live music, food and people together create a warm and laidback atmosphere. At the moment it's one of rare places in Riga where you can enjoy regular live jazz performances.

Located next to the ancient Salt Carriers’ Guild, Trompete has preserved its historical aura, while adding some trendy postindustrial vibes. The restaurant offers fresh, seasonal food with local ingredients. They bake their own bread, pickle olives. During summertime you can sit outdoors in the cosy backyard and have a pizza straight from oven!
One of the owners, Krišjānis Putniņš, is also running the popular Folkklubs Ala, located across the street. The best of Latvian beer and folk music!
