Founded about 2,400 years ago, it's "Chokusai-sha", a special shrine whose rituals are attended by an imperial envoy (there are only 16 Chokusai-sha in Japan) and one of the most important shinto shrines of the greater Tokyo area.

It's also famous for the longest "sando (approach to the shrine)" in the world and the biggest torii gate in the Kanto region. The sando with big trees on both sides is suitable for relax walking. A big festival called "Daito-ichi" is held on December 10 every year.
Don't miss a dango (Japanese sweets shop) shop and a senbei (rice crackers) shop along the sando :)
