This zero-waste corner shop in Providencia sells nuts, grains, olive oil, spices and biodegradable detergent by weight, and encourages customers to bring their own jars, tins or cloth bags instead of taking new packaging. It started with 75 bulk products and has grown past 140.
It's a genuine neighbourhood almacén rather than a tourist stop, which is exactly why it's worth a look if you want to see how Santiaguinos are cutting down on single-use plastic.
Local tip: Bring your own containers if you can — paper bags are available, but reusing your own is the whole idea.
