Palacio Cousiño

★ 4.8

Palacio Cousiño is a lavish 19th-century mansion built by one of Chile's wealthiest mining families, furnished with imported French parquet, Italian marble and crystal chandeliers kept exactly as they were when the family lived here. It's one of the best-preserved glimpses of Santiago's belle-époque wealth.

General admission runs around CLP 4,000 for adults, with lower rates for students and seniors — entry is by guided tour through the ground floor and gardens.

Local tip: Photography is usually restricted inside to protect the original furnishings, so check with staff before shooting.
