Tradition (not only) on the plate

Frevo

Why locals love it

With tables that remind the school environment, it's a place where you will certainly get tasty food with a home made feel. Besides, they serve delicious chopp (very common in Brazil - like lager beer from the tap). Just be aware of the time you go there: you might have to wait for a table between 12 and 13PM, locals' traditional lunch hour.

Why you should visit it

The restaurant is very traditional: the waiters have been working there for ages and the customer range includes businessmen and students that eat there almost everyday. As a tourist you're also NOT allowed to miss the city's best beiruth (warm sandwich on pita bread), a tasty russian strogonoff and an undescribable dessert called capricho
