Darb-e Shazdeh turned a Qajar-era house into a hotel in 2018, keeping the original carved wooden doors, coloured glass and ornate plasterwork, plus an old water tank in the middle of the courtyard. Only nine rooms, each different, look onto that same courtyard, so it feels more like staying with family than checking into a hotel.
Local tip: The in-house cafe does simple home-style meals, and Vakil Bazaar is close enough to walk to.
