Syndicat Gourmet was a stylish little bistro-deli in central Sibiu, a modern, food-focused spot that stood out in the old town for its contemporary cooking, good wine and gourmet deli goods. It drew a loyal following among locals looking for something a bit more refined and cosmopolitan than the traditional Transylvanian taverns.
It sat just off the main squares of Sibiu's beautifully preserved old town. Syndicat has since closed its doors, but the surrounding streets around Piața Mare and Piața Mică are full of good cafes, bistros and wine bars to take its place.
