The Women’s Market, Sofia’s largest and oldest open-air market, a long stretch of stalls selling fruit, vegetables, cheeses, spices and household goods at local prices. Lively and unpolished, it offers a genuine slice of everyday Sofia away from the tourist centre, and is a good spot for cheap produce and street food. Best explored in the morning when it is busiest.
