Every Saturday the grounds of Paddington Uniting Church fill with one of Sydney most loved markets, a browse of independent fashion, jewellery, art and homewares. It has long been a launchpad for local designers, so you often find pieces before they hit the boutiques. The leafy Paddington streets around it are made for a wander afterwards. Get there before midday while the best stalls are still stocked, bring cash for the smaller traders, and combine it with a stroll along the boutiques of Oxford Street.
