When on the MRT and needing to transfer lines, avoid Taipei Main Station to save time and confusion! This station is quite massive and can take an extra 10 to 15 minutes just spent walking up and down stairs. But if you have time, check out the underground & 2nd floor shops and food vendors.

Lots of underground shops on rainy or hot days.

If you are just transferring Metro lines, avoid this station.
