Pub Kompressor

Kompressor is a pancake pub at Rataskaevu 3 in Tallinn's Old Town, a few steps from Town Hall Square, occupying a stone-walled building typical of the pedestrianised medieval quarter. It has built its reputation on the size of its pancakes rather than on refinement. The menu lists 29 sweet and savoury varieties, from mince and cheese to fruit and chocolate fillings, each served as a single-course meal on a large plate; gluten-free options are available. Portions are substantial enough that sharing is common. Beer and other drinks are served alongside. It opens daily from 11:00 to 22:00, with the kitchen closing at 21:30. The surrounding streets are pedestrianised, so there is no tram stop directly outside, but Freedom Square and the Viru Gate are both a short walk away and are served by the tram and bus network. Queues form around lunchtime.
