The impressive monument dedicated to Georgian history is a perfect example of brutalist Soviet architecture. The "Stonehenge of Tbilisi" as locals call it, is located on a hill overviewing the Soviet suburbs and the scenic Tbilisi Sea.

Why you should visit it

If you like architecture, non-touristic places and photography, this is a must visit! Usually you won´t meet any other visitors there and the huge pillars make a great photo location. The monument is located on a hill and offers an interesting panorama on the suburbs of Tbilisi.

Special tip

There is police and dogs at the bottom of the monument. Closest metro station is Sarajishvili.
