Why locals love it
Not too crowded, small café with people behind the bar who know everything about almost every beer and whiskey they can serve you. It is a so called Dutch brown café and hardly any tourists find this place. Even locals haven't always heard of it, but don't let that last fact scare you away. The ones who do know it, love this place.
Why you should visit it
Every guidebook in Utrecht will tell you about the other beer café 'Olivier' and some will talk about 'Kafé Belgie'. Great places, not to be missed, but you're in Utrecht in the Netherlands, so if you want to try typical Dutch beers in stead of Belgian beers and on top of that want to have the staff know their stuff than this is the place to go.
