The bookstore has an unassuming entrance which can easily be missed if one is not looking for it. The gentleman running the bookstore is forthcoming when asked for help – always has interesting suggestions about books and the city in general. One might bump into local University students, professors, and travellers and get notes on what to do next.
One could expect to be left completely in peace in this bookstore, could sit there all day, if one has time to spare in Varanasi. It has a good collection of books on classical Indian literature, music and vernacular history of Varanasi.
It has a good collection of poetry, which is difficult to come by in regular bookshops.
