The Old Town’s liveliest street, running from Cathedral Square towards the university and lined with amber shops, craft stalls, bookshops and cafes. At weekends an open-air market sets up along the pavement, selling linen, amber jewellery and Lithuanian souvenirs. Pedestrianised and always busy, it is the natural place to browse for gifts and to feel the pulse of the historic centre.
