Bazar Olimpia

Bazar Olimpia is a market on Gorczewska street in the Wola district of Warsaw, on the edge of Moczydlo Park, in an area known locally as the Kolo bazaar for its history as an informal trading ground that developed after the fall of communism. A food section selling fruit, vegetables, dairy and meat operates daily, while the site expands into a full flea market on Sundays, when stallholders lay out second-hand goods including vinyl records, DVDs, clothing, household appliances, furniture and antiques. Bargaining is customary and cash is the norm, and the market draws collectors alongside residents looking for everyday second-hand items. The grounds are open-air and largely unpaved, so conditions vary considerably with the weather and sturdy footwear is worth having after rain. Several other second-hand markets trade in the same corner of Wola, which causes some confusion of names locally. It is reached by tram or bus along Gorczewska street.
