A vast limestone stairway rising above the city centre, combining garden terraces, modern sculptures and the Cafesjian Center for the Arts built into its levels. Escalators inside climb past exhibition halls to a terrace with sweeping views over Yerevan towards Mount Ararat. It is a favourite gathering place day and night, and the contemporary art displayed along the way is free to see.
