Under one roof, vendors pile high with dried apricots and figs, walnuts and sujukh (walnut “sausages” in grape jelly), spices, honey, cheeses, pickles, cured meats and fresh lavash. Sellers press you to taste as you go, prices beat the supermarkets, and the whole place hums with old-Yerevan life. Bring cash and an appetite; mornings have the widest choice.
Book it: a Yerevan street-eats food tour stops right here at the GUM Market.
