Mestar offers tasteful daily specials from fresh ingredients only. It's a favorite place to take a lunch break for people working in surrounding offices. They have great house wine and brandies. The space reminds a lot of traditional Dalmatian restaurants, for both its looks and relaxed home-like atmosphere.
Why you should visit it
Mestar is a true little oasis hidden inside a yard of an old factory. Mediterranean plants in bloom and warming tastes of home-made food are delightful contrast to the old facility. If it wasn't for the word of mouth, you'd never know it existed. In fact, many Zagrebers have never heard of it.
Special tip
Enter the yard and you'll spot a little bar of football club Dinamo fans. Turn right and there you have it.
