Why locals love it
Locals are sentimental over this place. It had been the largest store before modern shopping malls were built all over Zagreb. Nama used to be a huge retail chain for decades, but now there are only two stores left in Zagreb. This one, placed in the historical building next to the main square, keeps inviting us in to remind us of times long past.

Why you should visit it
More then a century ago, the first big shop was opened here by Austrian owners. This is a shopping spot with the longest tradition in Zagreb. But the history of the building is even longer - it used to be a 19th century hotel. Entering this store makes a perfect opportunity to freely examine the interior of a historical palace.

Pay special attention to the photo decorations of the interior which show the original appearance of the building.
