The Sugarloaf cable car whisks visitors in two stages up to the summit of the iconic granite peak that guards the entrance to Guanabara Bay. A ticketed ride climbs first to Urca hill and then to the top of Sugarloaf, where 360-degree views take in Christ the Redeemer, Copacabana, the bay and the mountains, especially magical at sunset. A classic Rio experience since 1912, the glass cable cars and spectacular panoramas make it one of the most memorable and rewarding attractions in the city.
