Finland's northernmost medieval stone church, built between 1520 and 1553 at Keminmaa, five kilometres north of Kemi.
Ceiling paintings from 1650, Catholic-era vessels, and the preserved body of vicar Nikolaus Rungius, who died in 1629, on view inside.
Local tip: Open to visitors in summer only, Tuesday to Saturday; there is no step-free access into the old church.
