Kenscoff and Furcy (Permanently Closed)

Permanently closed. Attacked from January 2025; not accessible to visitors. We keep this page because people still look for it, and because what happened here is part of the city’s story.

Pine forest, cool air and strawberry gardens an hour above the capital: for generations this was where Port-au-Prince went to breathe.

Armed attacks on Kenscoff from late January 2025 killed dozens and displaced thousands. The mountain communes have not been restored to normal access.

Good to know: Not reachable. The hillside districts of Pétion-Ville are as high as a visitor now goes.
