A Renaissance fort on the Marjan slopes that the sculptor Ivan Meštrović remade as a chapel and gallery, quiet and looking straight out to sea.
You walk through the restored Kaštilac and the Church of the Holy Cross to see Meštrović's cycle of 28 carved wooden reliefs on the life of Christ.
Local tip: Closed Mondays and last admission is 5.30pm; the same ticket also covers the Meštrović Gallery just along the road.
