A Relais and Chateaux hotel in a restored fourteenth-century townhouse on Kanonicza, the medieval canons’ street running from the Old Town up to Wawel Hill and among the oldest streets in Krakow. Conservation work uncovered Renaissance ceiling paintings and beamed ceilings that have been left exposed in several rooms, and the central courtyard has been roofed in glass to form an atrium. A swimming pool occupies the Gothic cellars, and a roof terrace looks across to Wawel Castle and the Old Town rooflines. The restaurant sits in the vaulted ground floor. The street lies inside the pedestrianised historic core, so vehicle access is limited and arranged through the hotel.
