The Warehouse Hotel

The Warehouse Hotel

Thirty-seven rooms in three adjoining godowns built in 1895 on the Singapore River at Robertson Quay, restored by the local Lo and Behold Group and opened in January 2017. The warehouses stored spices, rice, coffee, tin and rubber, and the premises later housed an opium den and, in the 1980s, the Warehouse Disco. The conversion left the trusses, pitched roof and industrial ironmongery exposed and won an Urban Redevelopment Authority Architectural Heritage Award in 2017. Rooms run from 27 to 57 square metres across six categories. Po, the in-house restaurant, cooks Singaporean dishes such as popiah and hokkien mee. Clarke Quay and Chinatown are within walking distance along the river.
