A nine-suite hotel on the top two floors of an office building on Russell Street, run by the family behind the Glenburn Tea Estate in Darjeeling, who also operate a tea house in the city. Suites are individually decorated and several look towards the Victoria Memorial and the Maidan; a roof terrace and a glass-walled conservatory used for afternoon tea share the same outlook. Meals are served house-party fashion in a single dining room, with a kitchen drawing on colonial, Bengali and Anglo-Indian cooking as well as Kolkata street food, and teas come from the family estate. The location is in the Park Street district, walking distance from the Indian Museum, New Market and St Paul’s Cathedral.
