The Three Sisters Hotel

The Three Sisters Hotel occupies a row of three merchant houses on Pikk Street, in the northern corner of Tallinn’s old town near the Great Coastal Gate. The middle house was built in 1362 for a Hanseatic trader, with the two neighbouring buildings added over the following two centuries; the group was restored between 1999 and 2003 and joined into a single hotel. There are twenty-three rooms and suites, no two laid out alike, threaded around original beams, limestone walls and irregular floor levels. Breakfast is served in the restored merchant reception rooms rather than a conventional restaurant, and the ground-floor Angel Room, set beneath a sixteenth-century painted ceiling, seats about twelve for private dining or meetings.
