Built in 1863-65 as Karachi's town hall, this Venetian-Gothic landmark is now home to the Liaquat National Library and Sadequain's celebrated ceiling mural.
The surrounding lawns function as a public park; the library and exhibition hall keep daytime hours.
Local tip: Head upstairs to see Sadequain's mural in the library, then take an evening stroll on the lawns when locals gather.
