Echo Valley

★ 4.4

Echo Valley is the limestone cliff-face below the cemetery where Sagada's famous hanging coffins are lodged in crevices and ledges, a centuries-old Igorot burial practice. The coffins are visible for free from the roadside and cemetery viewpoint, though the closer trail down into the valley is covered by the town's general visitor registration fee rather than a separate ticket.

Local tip: Shout and you really do get an echo back off the valley walls, hence the name.
