La Espiral runs an alternative mix of electronic, reggae, merengue and hip-hop through the night, which makes it one of the few spots in the Zona Colonial that is not built purely around merengue and bachata. The food is simple bar fare – patties, sausages – but the tap-beer selection is one of the better-stocked ones in the neighbourhood.
It is a good pick if you want a change of pace from the salsa-and-bachata bars nearby.
