This small river island just north of the Old Town is Wroclaw's favourite spot for an evening on the grass, strung with fairy lights and dotted with a couple of bronze dwarf statues among the trees. On warm evenings it fills with students, picnic blankets and impromptu guitar sessions rather than tourists, which is exactly the appeal.
Local tip: Cross via the Tumski or Piaskowa footbridges and keep walking towards Ostrow Tumski for one continuous riverside stroll.
