Im not sure locals love this building but it does add to Riga's skyline.
The academy, also known as "Stalin's birthday cake", was erected in 1958. The best sightseeing tower in Riga tells the story of Soviet glory and cultural grace, represented only in architecture and export numbers.
Local tip: The roof terrace is open every day 8am-10pm, admission 2.50 Ls during the summer months.
