Ivalo Airport

Ivalo Airport, Inari

Törmänen (near Ivalo)

The northernmost airport in Finland — and the whole EU — and the main gateway to the far north of Lapland. Small and easy, Ivalo sits about 11km from Ivalo village and 25km from Saariselkä, with year-round flights connecting you to Lake Inari, the Urho Kekkonen National Park and the heart of Finnish Sámi culture. In winter it’s the jumping-off point for aurora hunting, husky safaris and ski trips; in summer, for hiking and the midnight sun. Rent a car or grab the airport shuttle and you’re quickly out into the wilderness.
