This cheerful outdoor playground brings the Angry Birds characters to life on the banks of the Kemijoki, an easy stroll from the centre of Rovaniemi. It is one of the few genuinely free family attractions in town, and a favourite pit stop for parents who need to let restless little ones burn off energy between the city's Santa-themed sights.
The park sits along Valtakatu street, within walking distance of the centre, and is open all year round with no entry charge. Expect slides, climbing frames and themed play structures aimed squarely at younger children, plus benches for grown-ups to sit and thaw out. It is loveliest in the lighter months, though hardy Lapland families make good use of it through the snow too.
