The Friday Bazaar, or Cuma Pazari, is a weekly street market held each Friday in the Sekerhane neighbourhood of central Alanya, spreading along Sinanoglu, Fakilar and Halimaga streets around the district wedding hall. It is the largest of Alanya's several weekly markets and draws growers from villages across the surrounding region. Fresh fruit and vegetables form the core of the trade, sold at fixed prices, with stalls of clothing, shoes, leather goods, carpets, spices and household items alongside, where negotiation is customary. Trading generally runs from around 08:00 until early evening, finishing later in summer than in winter. Prices are noticeably lower than in the shops along the seafront, and the produce comes from the immediate area rather than through wholesalers. The market is reached by local bus or dolmus services running along the coast road, several of which stop within a short walk, or on foot from Alanya's central bus station.
