Near 28 May Metro

Yasil Bazar, the Green Market, is a covered food market at Shah Ismayil Khatai Avenue 7 in Baku's Narimanov district, close to the 28 May metro station. It is among the largest food markets in Azerbaijan, with stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs and spices, nuts and dried fruit, juices, jams and preserves, alongside caviar and saffron. Grapes and pomegranates brought in by farmers from across the country are a particular speciality. The market trades daily from early morning until late evening, with reduced hours on public holidays. Vendors commonly offer samples before a purchase and negotiating on price is an accepted part of trading, particularly for produce bought in quantity. Prices are set for local shoppers rather than visitors. The market stands within a few hundred metres of Baku's central railway station and is served by several bus routes. It functions primarily as a working food market for residents rather than a visitor attraction, though its scale places it on some guided city tours.
