The Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque is a vast Ottoman-revival mosque with striking blue domes and tall minarets dominating the skyline of downtown Beirut. Completed in 2008 beside Martyrs Square and the Saint George Cathedral, its grand interior and imposing scale make it one of the citys most recognisable landmarks and a symbol of the rebuilt centre.
