Brasov's sightseeing bus is an open-top double-decker run by RATBV, the municipal transport authority, rather than by a private tour company, which keeps fares at ordinary public transport levels. Introduced in 2022, it runs a dedicated route from the Livada Postei terminal at the edge of the old town up to the mountain resort of Poiana Brasov, a climb of roughly 18 kilometres through the wooded foothills of Mount Postavarul, with six intermediate stops and a journey time of about an hour. Services operate in the warm season only, broadly from late June to early September, running through the day at roughly hourly intervals and later at weekends. Tickets are bought on board by contactless card or through the operator's app, either singly or as a day pass allowing unlimited boarding. It functions as scenic transport to the resort rather than as a narrated tour of the historic centre, which is small enough to cover on foot.
