A picturesque 16th-century gate with fairy-tale corner turrets, the only original city gate to survive from Brasov’s medieval fortifications. The four small towers once signalled the town’s right to pass its own death sentences, and today the gate marks the entrance to the old Schei quarter. Compact and photogenic, it is a favourite stop on a walk around the old walls.
