1. Slovak Pub is a large pub and restaurant at Obchodna 62 in Bratislava's Old Town, occupying premises that seat several hundred across a series of interconnected rooms fitted out in a rustic style, each themed around a period of Slovak history. The menu concentrates on Slovak home cooking, including bryndzove halusky, the sheep's cheese dumplings regarded as the national dish, alongside goulash and roasted meats, with what is billed as the city's widest selection of Slovak beers. The pub sources some of its meat and dairy from its own farm. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable for the location, which is why it is heavily used by students as well as visitors. Discounted rates are offered for students and for guests seated in non-smoking areas. It opens daily, Monday to Thursday and at weekends from 11:00 to 23:00 and Friday from 11:00 to midnight, and can become busy in the evenings. Hlavne namestie is within easy walking distance.
