The Grote Kerk, or Church of Our Lady, is Bredas most prominent landmark, a soaring late-Gothic church whose 97-metre tower dominates the skyline. Inside lie the ornate tombs of the House of Nassau, ancestors of the Dutch royal family, along with fine choir stalls and vaulting. Free to enter for much of the year, the church and its surrounding square form the historic and visual centre of the city.
