Valkenberg is Bredas oldest and largest city-centre park, laid out on former castle hunting grounds between the old town and the railway station. Its lawns, ponds, mature trees and monuments make it a green oasis and a popular spot for relaxing, picnics and festivals. Bordered by the castle and the Begijnhof, the park is a pleasant place to stroll and links many of the citys historic sights within a short walk.
