Welcome to Brussels, Capital of Europe! Forget all you've heard about Brussels, about the European Parliament and the Commission. Brussels is the Capital of Europe thanks to our huge ethnic diversity (68% of the Brussels population has a foreign roots). We welcome everyone! Brussels was founded in the 10th-century and has grown from a fortress town to a tiny Metropole in it's own right. With around 1.300.000 people spread over 19 communes, with more than 100 sorts of different beers, Brussels is a must-visit on your next trip in Europe. Get ready to practice your languages, because Belgium has 3 official languages: French, Dutch and German. But if you want to mix in with the locals, you'll use a blend of French and Dutch with an optional 3rd of 4th language. That's just how we roll.
