Mè Cumpari Turiddu

Mè Cumpari Turiddu, Catania

Centro (Piazza Turi Ferro)

An icon of Catania’s food scene on Piazza Turi Ferro — part restaurant, bistro, tea room and deli under one gloriously old-fashioned roof of chandeliers and vintage furniture. Founded by lawyer-turned-restaurateur Roberta Capizzi, it does contemporary Sicilian cooking with a fierce farm-to-table ethos (much sourced from Slow Food Presidia), and holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Try the spaghetti with pistachio pesto or the duo of black pork.
