Why it matters: opened in March 2025 on Praga-Północ by Fundacja Idylla, Spektakulinarna gives people on the autism spectrum and with intellectual disabilities real paying jobs as baristas and servers, supported by trained assistants – a working cafe open to everyone, not a sheltered workshop. The all-day breakfast menu keeps it simple: sandwiches, granola, salads, and a daily rotation of cheesecake, apple pie, or tiramisu, plus a senior special (coffee and cake for 15 zl). It’s a good stop while exploring Praga’s street art and converted-factory galleries, and it opens daily at 7am – handy for an early coffee before the neighborhood wakes up.

Why it matters: opened in 2023 by the Fundacja Leny Grochowskiej, toMy is a working cafe where people with intellectual disabilities are employed as baristas, servers, and ceramics instructors – the foundation’s third such cafe after outposts in Siedlce and Gdańsk. Beyond coffee, the attached ceramics studio runs hands-on workshops where visitors can throw and paint their own pieces alongside the staff who make them. Order a coffee with a slice of pistachio cheesecake or brownie, and if you have an hour to spare, book a ceramics session – one of the warmest ways to spend an afternoon in central Warsaw. Note it’s closed Mondays.
