Rheinauhafen and the Crane Houses

Just south of the old town, the regenerated Rheinauhafen harbour is lined with sleek modern architecture, above all the three glass Kranhauser, the crane-shaped towers that have become a symbol of contemporary Cologne. A waterside promenade links it to the centre. Walk down from the old town for the striking Crane Houses, and combine it with the Chocolate Museum on the quay.
