Paradise Road Tintagel is a ten-suite hotel in a 1930s mansion on Rosmead Place, in the leafy Cinnamon Gardens district of Colombo 7. The house was the Bandaranaike family home and was lived in by three Sri Lankan heads of government, a lineage recorded in the period photographs and furniture displayed throughout. It was converted in 2005 by Udayshanth Fernando of the Paradise Road design company, and the interiors set colonial architecture against contemporary Sri Lankan art and a largely monochrome palette. Facilities include a courtyard restaurant, a small swimming pool and spa treatments, with afternoon tea served daily. The setting is residential and quiet, a short drive from the National Museum and Galle Face Green.
