Ha penny Bridge

City Centre  •  ★ 4.6  •  $

The elegant cast-iron Ha’penny Bridge has arched over the Liffey since 1816, named for the halfpenny toll once charged to cross it. Today it is the most romantic river crossing in the city and a favourite photo stop, especially when lit up after dark. It links the bustle of Temple Bar with the shops of the north side in a matter of steps. Come at dusk for the prettiest light, and look for the old toll turnstile marks in the ironwork.
