The Bernard Shaw & Big Blue Bus

One of Dublin’s most characterful pubs — a scruffy-cool warren of a bar, street art and DJs that’s become a Portobello institution (now on South Richmond Street). Its famous Big Blue Bus pizzeria, a double-decker slinging proper slices from the yard, is the signature — though the pizza bus has since roamed to new spots around the city, so check where it’s parked. Come for cheap pints, a young crowd and a genuinely local night.
